The lineage in Genesis: 1st Chronicles Ch's 1 and 2
Matthew 1:1-17 (Adam to Jesus - believed to be on Jesus' father's side. "Begats")Luke 3:23-38 (Adam to Jesus - believed to be on his mother's side. "Son of")
The bloodline of Jesus from Adam was not never broken. It almost breaks in the 1st Era, but Noah and his wife keep it flowing. Queen Athaliah almost breaks it in the 6th Era, but a nurse hides the bloodline baby from Athaliah's attempt to destroy all the bloodline descendants.

Job

Job is called a perfect man. He puts God first and answers to God.

Note: The book of Job is believed to be chronologically part of Genesis

Similarities: Many animals of Genesis are mentioned, Place names Uz (Job), Ur (Abraham)

His Age is contemporary with the Genesis 120years Established age, even though he is given more years.

Job 1:1-5 (Bliss)

Job 1-6 - 2:7 Job's challenge from Satan

Job 2:8-9 Job's wife "Curse God and die"

Job 2:11 - Ch 36 The 4 friends of Job take turns criticizing him. They try to get him to confess some wrongdoing as the cause of his afflictions.

God speaks

...and he has the final say.

Job Ch 42:10-17 "Double Bliss"

The Book of Job -

The Book of Job starts with righteous Job's blessed life. Job is challenged by the devil (children killed, possessions & wealth taken, and his body stricken) though he did "no" wrong. After losing his children, all his wealth, he even rebuked his wife's ungodly suggestion to "curse God and die." Job's friends vex him with reasons why they believe he is suffering.

Job when at his lowest did not turn his heart from following God. He desired death to relieve him of his pains, but he did not turn from God.

Job's example to the world is of a man who followed the Lord so closely that the devil could not come between Job and God. And so, despite his wear pains and afflictions, unlike other patriarchs who fell into the devil's traps when tested, Job passed all the tests. In the end Job is given double for his trouble.

All three books show a time of perfect peace with God and man and a time of Chaos where man feels a fearfully separated from God.

During the Best Days, God and man are together and happy without interference of evil...to Chaos, then back to God. When the relationship between man and God is finally free of chaos, man receives much more than he had during his first days of bliss with God. The garden of Eden is Genesis is paradise where there is " good gold" (Genesis 2:11-12), but redeemed man in the end gets be in heaven with the Lord and all the saints where the streets are paved with pure gold, like crystal.
