4th Era
THE KINGDOM
The chosen “Children of Israel” reject God’s leadership because
they want to be like pagan Kingdoms – God allows, warning them
of negative consequences. Israel the Country now becomes
“The Kingdom of Israel,” a “Kingdom of Priests.”
King David captured the Canaanite city Jerusalem. It becomes the
Kingdom of Israel’s capital city, also called, “The City of David,
Mount Zion, City of God, House of the Lord, Holy City.” Psalms 122
The 4th Era - The Kingdom
Rein of King Saul and King David
1st Samuel Ch's 9 - 31 end
Ch. 9 Saul becomes the 1st king to over Israel after he is anointed by Samuel ...Ch 15:35 ...and the Lord repented that he had made Saul king over Israel. Ch 16:13 David is anointed the 2nd King of Israel by Samuel. 16:14 The Spirit of the Lord departs from Saul and an evil spirit from the Lord troubled him. David is sent to comfort King Saul with music... Saul dies at the end of 1st Samuel
2nd Samuel Ch's 1 - 24 end
Ch 2 Under protest Ishbosheth (Saul's son) is declared king, but he is never anointed King.
Ch 2 David is Made King over Israel
Ch 12 Solomon is Born
1st Chronicles Ch's 10 - 29 end
Throughout 1st Chronicles is listed lineages of Israelites and its workers within their nation from Adam to David . It details the organizing of their Kingdom and preparation to build their permanent structure temple of worship throughout the life of David unto his death,
