12 Bible Era's Informercial

TO SOME THE BIBLE IS JUST A HISTORY BOOK.                                                                                                                                     But to others who "believe",                                                                                                 IT IS LIVING WORDS OF LOVE AND RIGHTEOUS POWER.

May your Journey through the Bible Be Transformatioal and Fruitful to yourself and others

The Bible in Chronological order reveals the Story of the "Adam's Family"

SIMPLIFIED APPROACH TO READING THE BIBLE

Fact: It takes only 72 - 75 Hours (approx. 3 days) to read through the entire Bible.

Read  1- 1/2 hours a week to finish in 1 year

Read  45 minutes a week to finish in 2 years

How long does it take to read each book of the Bible?  You have more time than you think.   Infographic: You Have More Time for Bible Reading than You Think | Crossway Articles

Read the Bible in chronological (timeline) order to better see the narrative story while reading.

Chronological examples:

The book of Job is in the time of Genesis.

The books of 1 & 2 Chronicles are during the times of the books of I & II Kings

The books of the major and minor prophets are during the times of I & II Kings. They are mostly prophets to their kings, their people and other nations.

The events in the Book of Esther happen just prior to the time of Ezra and Nehemiah.  Mordecai and Esther's courage saved the lives of the Jews during the time of Era and Nehemiah.

The events in the 4 Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John) were happening at the same time.

Paul's letters in the New Testament to the churches were written during the book of Acts during Paul's journeys to the churches.

Read for understanding in your heart

Bible reading styles and helps

Large, Super Large or Giant Print Bibles are easier on the eyes to read, and with the additional space, make it easier for notetaking on the page.

Versions:  King James vs. numerous simplified Versions

Parallel the King James version with more simplified versions for clarity.

Audio readings:  Audio readings of the Bible help readers to more quickly through the scriptures and can sometimes help the listener to see connections between scripture scenes when moving at a faster pace.

Overviews:  Can help readers to better understand the overall context of the scripture within the book that they are reading.

Children's books and videos: Are simplified and can help Bible readers to better understand Bible stories.

Movies - Note some movies depict scripture word for word, others like the "Ten Commandments" movie are a general overviews of Bible scripture stories and not necessarily scripturally accurate in their entirety.

Blessed is he that readeth... (Revelation. 1:3)

Site Bible references are from King James Version.

Use audio/visual overviews and other reading helps on this website to support your Bible reading endeavors.

Warning: Reading the Bible is not to be replaced by watching "dramatic" videos of the Bible. Producers of such videos are not always mature in their understanding of scripture, or in their commitment to scriptural accuracy. "Always" compare the content of any Bible videos with Bible scriptures to ensure accuracy. Ex. (1956) Ten Commandments - Completely accurate? - NO

Pray before reading the bible so that you can understand what you are reading

James 1:5

...The effectual fervent prayers of the righteous availeth much. James 5:16
